UK Course Student
At Air Service Training (Engineering), we are committed to making your path to becoming a Licensed Aircraft Engineer as affordable as possible. Our Approved Basic Training program offers exceptional value, with all essential materials and services included over the two-year period. Your fees cover everything you need, from AST technical training materials (including a laptop), EASA/UKCAA Part-66 examinations, Aircraft Maintenance Environment training, and personal protective equipment, to unlimited Wi-Fi on campus, access to our study centre, and student welfare support. The total cost for the two-year program is *£18,500.40 (including VAT), which can be conveniently broken down into four payments across the course duration. This all-inclusive fee makes AST one of the most affordable and effective ways to fast-track your career in aircraft engineering.

Modular Courses
Air Service Training is an ELCAS approved training provider, and we can accept any Enhanced Learning Credits towards the costs of our training.
Note: The short modular courses do not constitute an approved course, and therefore will not offer reductions in the experience requirements for those seeking licence issue or extending basic licence categories.
The short modular courses are priced at only £356 + VAT per week.

English Language
- Students must hold a valid English Language test, shown below are the only English Language tests acceptable towards the visa for the Approved Basic Training Course.
- IELTS for UKVI Academic with band scores of no less than 5.0 in Reading, Writing Speaking or Listening.
- If sitting for an IELTS for UKVI Academic test is not possible, certificates issued by LanguageCert International at ESOL SELT level B2 with passes in Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening are accepted.
- Alternatively, a third option would be to sit for PSI Service (UK) Ltd Skills for English UKVI B2 (4 component) test, you would need to achieve a Pass in all four components
Financial Evidence
Financial evidence is a vital part of the Visa Application process. As part of the process there is a requirement to evidence the first year of studies and the first 9 months of living expenses, known as ‘maintenance’. For the maintenance evidence there is a requirement to evidence a minimum of the first 9 months of living expenses, these are currently calculated at £1023 per calendar month. From the 2nd January 2025 UK Visa and Immigration will be increasing the maintenance requirements to £1136 per calendar month.
- Currency which is not evidenced in GBP (£) will be converted via oanda.com by UKVI.
- Tuition fees and living expenses can be evidenced by the student directly, or;
- Their parent(s), Legal guardian(s) or Official Financial Sponsorship (e.g. government sponsorship)
As part of the financial requirements sufficient funds would need to be evidenced by the student, their parent(s) or legal guardian(s). It is important that sufficient funds are held for a minimum of 28 consecutive days and that the bank statement evidencing the funds must not be older than 31 days before the intended visa application.
