AST teaches in three areas of beautiful Perthshire; the gateway to the Scottish Highlands. Perth, the county town is easily accessible by road, rail and air. It is reached by the main arterial road network from the central belt of Scotland, trains arrive regularly from the south and north and it has 3 airports within 2 hours drive. By car Edinburgh is just 1 hour from Perth; Aberdeen and Inverness can be reached in about 2 hours. Beautiful countryside is within walking or cycling distance from the town. Historic places and outdoor activities (including skiing in winter) are all within easy reach.
The Perth College UHI campus is conveniently placed for access to Perth town centre and all its amenities. With the theatre, concert hall, museums, cinema, award winning restaurants, clubs and bars, it has entertainment and culture to satisfy every taste.
Situated at Perth’s busy general aviation airport approximately 8 miles from the city centre, the campus is easily accessible by road and has an excellent bus service that runs from the city centre to the airfield.

Above Perthshire and Angus is our most spectacular classroom. It offers everything a student pilot could wish for with magnificent scenery, both controlled and uncontrolled airspace and accompanied by a diversity of weather to prepare the student for a lifetime of flying in a way the sunshine sites cannot.
