Approved Category A Basic Course
The courses have a duration of 30 Training Weeks, with 4 weeks used for an On the Job Training (OJT) placement. Following successful graduation, graduates will be required to provide evidence of a minimum of 12 months appropriate maintenance experience before applying for licence issue. AST offers this training in all currently available sub-categories as follows:
- A1 Line Maintenance Certifying Mechanic - Aeroplanes Turbine
- A2 Line Maintenance Certifying Mechanic - Aeroplanes Piston
- A3 Line Maintenance Certifying Mechanic - Helicopters Turbine
- A4 Line Maintenance Certifying Mechanic - Helicopters Piston
